Making Sense of Pay Transparency: Are you ready?

The EU Pay Transparency Directive will be transposed into Irish law later this year, with the substantive Remuneration Information and Pay Transparency Bill still awaited. While we don’t yet know the exact details of Irish implementation, the Directive’s minimum requirements are clear, and employers who wait for final legislation will be playing catch-up. This briefing will equip you with practical steps to prepare now and position your organisation for compliance.

What you’ll learn:

• Regulatory Framework: The emerging legal framework and regulatory requirements along with the expected reporting obligations on pay transparency. We will also share some lessons learned from the experience of gender pay gap reporting.

• Practical considerations: The practical steps to be taken to enable implementation such as the need to understand any risk issues in your current pay structures and the importance of worker categorization. We will discuss the importance of updating current recruitment practices and contracts in use along with other employment policy implications and the need to understand what data you will need as you prepare for the new information provision obligations which pay transparency will require.

• Triangular Relationships: The session will also consider the agency worker complications and how pay transparency will impact the triangular employment relationship for recruitment business and their clients using agency workers.
